  • Age Eligibility:
    • You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to purchase subscriptions or register as an independent tutor.
    • Minors (under the age of 18) may only use the Services (including Creator Pages) with the active involvement, consent, and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

2. User Accounts & Registration

  • Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
  • Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or engage in unlawful behavior without prior notice.

3. Premium Subscriptions, Payments & Refunds

  • Subscription Plans: School Vartha offers premium membership plans on a monthly or annual basis, providing access to exclusive content, features, or listing privileges.
  • Billing & Automatic Renewal:
    • Payments are processed via secure third-party payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay, Stripe, App Store, Play Store Billing).
    • Subscriptions may auto-renew at the end of the subscription period unless canceled prior to the renewal date.
  • Non-Refundable Policy: All payments for monthly or annual subscriptions are strictly non-refundable once processed, except where required by applicable law.
  • Price Modifications: We reserve the right to adjust subscription pricing or tier features at any time. Any price changes will be communicated in advance.

4. Creator Pages & User-Generated Content Rules

  • Ownership of Content: Content creators, teachers, and students retain ownership of the original text, artwork, videos, or portfolio items uploaded to Creator Pages. By uploading content, you grant School Vartha a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and share the content on our platforms.
  • Prohibited Content: Users are strictly prohibited from publishing content that:
    • Is plagiarized, copyrighted by others without permission, or infringing on intellectual property.
    • Is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, or inappropriate for an educational community.
    • Contains spam, promotional links, malware, or fraudulent claims.
  • Minor Protection: Parents or guardians are legally responsible for any content submitted by minors under their care. School Vartha reserves the right to remove any content or profile at its sole discretion without prior notice.

5. “Find My Tutor” Directory Terms

  • Platform Role: “Find My Tutor” is a directory and networking space designed to connect independent educators/tutors with students and parents. School Vartha is not an educational institution, tutoring agency, or employer.
  • Independent Relationship: Any arrangement, contract, or financial payment made between a tutor and a student/parent is strictly a private transaction between those parties. School Vartha is not a party to such contracts.
  • Tutor Warranties: Tutors registering on the directory warrant that all credentials, certificates, experience details, and identification provided are genuine.
  • Verification & Safety Warning: School Vartha does not conduct background or criminal record checks. Parents and students are solely responsible for conducting background verification, identity checks, and safety precautions before engaging any tutor.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

  • All original branding, logos, graphics, software code, database architecture, and editorial news published by School Vartha are protected under intellectual property and copyright laws.
  • You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, modify, or commercially exploit any part of our platform without explicit written permission from School Vartha.

7. Code of Conduct & Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the platform for any illegal purpose or to violate local, national, or international regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, user accounts, or databases.
  • Use automated bots, scrapers, or software to extract data or content from our website or app.
  • Impersonate any person, government official, or entity.

8. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, School Vartha, its founders, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of (or inability to use) our Services, subscription features, creator tools, or tutor hires.
  • Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless School Vartha from any claims, damages, liabilities, or legal expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms, your user-generated content, or your interaction with third-party tutors or users.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting to our platform. Your continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of School Vartha shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Malappuram District, Kerala, India.
